Research Collaboration under RCRE discussed in DC

During a visit to Washington DC on January 28-30, 2019, Mr. Hassan Soroosh, Director General for Economic Cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed regional economic cooperation and future research collaboration under the RECCA Center for Research and Collaboration with a number of institutions and research centers. He met with Professor Starr, the Founder and Chairman of the Central Asia-Caucasus Institute; Mr. Andrew Wilder, Vice President; Mr. William A. Byrd, Senior Expert – Afghanistan; and Mr. Barmak Pazhwak; Senior Program Officer- Afghanistan and Central Asia at the Asia Center, United States Institute of Peace; Mr. Efgan Nifti, Director of the Caspian Policy Center; and Ms. Anastasia Alexandrova, Senior Country Officer at the World Bank.


Mr. Fazulrahman Fazilyar, Economic Counselor from the Afghan Embassy in DC accompanied Mr. Soroosh in these meetings.
The RECCA Center for Research and Evaluation will be inaugurated next week in Kabul and will be based at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
